Our Neurowave Harmony experience is a tranquil journey, melding the restorative power of Audio-Visual Entrainment (AVE) with the revitalizing embrace of Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy. At Allyu Spa, we believe that technology used with intention can support, rather than stress, your authentic state of harmony.
AVE is a therapeutic method that uses gentle light and sound to guide your brain back to its innate healing rhythms. This organic state of brainwave harmony can foster deep relaxation, diminish stress and anxiety, boost focus and creativity, improve sleep, and balance your body’s systems. It has also been employed therapeutically for conditions like PTSD, attention disorders, depression, and cognitive decline.
PEMF therapy is a gentle, non-invasive technique that promotes overall well-being. Everything in nature, from the grand expanse of the cosmos to the intricate cells in our body, resonates at specific frequencies. Earth itself emits a natural electromagnetic frequency that envelops all living beings and plays a crucial role in our well-being. The distractions of modern life can sever this vital connection. PEMF therapy reintroduces these curative frequencies, assisting in the balance and restoration of the body’s inherent magnetic fields. It has been linked to reduced inflammation and pain, cellular rejuvenation, and enhanced circulation and healing.
Together, AVE and PEMF orchestrate a harmonious duet of relaxation and revitalization. Unwind in a moment of serene comfort as the gentle interplay of light, sound, and Earth’s frequencies guide you to inner peace and balance. The most profound journey is often the one leading back to oneself.
You’ll comfortably recline on a PEMF body mat supported on a soft cushion. Gentle tones will play, and with your eyes closed, pulsating lights will support the audio to harmonize your brainwave activity. Within 5-6 minutes, you’ll feel a deepening sense of relaxation as your mind and body gently respond. Any lingering thoughts won’t disrupt the process. You might also feel subtle sensations as the magnetic fields interact with your body. Your response will be uniquely yours—be it drifting into sleep, entering a dreamlike state, experiencing emotions or memories, or simply enjoying a peaceful respite.
The audio and visuals will subside after approximately 20-23mins and you’ll have a quiet moment for reflection as the electromagnetic fields continue their work. A soft timer will indicate the session’s end. Upon completion, you may notice heightened mental clarity, improved mood, or even pain relief.
Audio-Visual Entrainment and Pulse Electromagnetic Field Therapy are both very safe. On rare occasion, unsettling emotions or memories may surface as the brain calibrates.
If you have epilepsy or an implanted electronic device (like a pacemaker), please refrain from using this technology.
PEMF is also not recommended during pregnancy due to inadequate research.
Absolutely! A single session provides immediate benefits, much like how a single workout can boost endorphins. Yet, just as consistent exercise enhances muscle strength, regular AVE and PEMF sessions can yield more pronounced and lasting effects.
We highly encourage integrating these technologies into your wellness and have listed some of the many resources available below.
Mind Alive’s founder, David Siever, has been researching, publishing, and designing equipment for brain health for over 35 years. Their website is rich with information and inspiration. They also offer audio-visual entrainment devices that are backed by extensive study.
Braintap offers a very user-friendly device. Dr Patrick Porter created a headset with a visor that links via bluetooth to an app filled with entrainment programs, providing a uniquely accessible AVE device.
If you’re not looking for a full Audio-Visual Entrainment device, there are several apps available that provide audio entrainment support. Even though the combination of audio and visual stimulation provides a more profound response, audio alone can yield amazing results. A quick search of ‘brain entrainment’ in the app store will show many options, not all at the same caliber. Headphones or earbuds that separate the right and left signal are also needed.
Braintap’s app can be purchased with a monthly subscription and used independently of their headset for audio only entrainment.
BrainWave by Bonzai Labs is a reputable one-time purchase app for IOS devices. It has been recommended as a tool for increasing focus by Stanford Neuroscientist and Professor of Medicine, Dr. Andrew Huberman, on the Huberman Lab podcast.
Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy Devices for home use are more complicated. Even though PEMF is FDA approved and has been used in conventional medicine to treat issues as severe as non-union bone fractures since 1979, the technology for home use is not as accessible. Opinions vary on ideal strength and frequency for regular wellness support, and the units can be quite expensive.
At Allyu we use the Celler8 PEMF mat, a medium intensity mat that utilizes the frequency spectrum of our earth. It’s a newly developed mat through England, by a team that’s passionate about the value of the technology and intentionally produced a quality product at a more reasonable price.
There are also several PEMF devices available on the market to use locally, on specific areas of the body.
Our owner is passionate about the potential benefits of AVE and PEMF, and about exploring how technology can be used to support our natural homeostasis, instead of diminishing it. If you have further questions or would like to discuss integrating these modalities into your home wellness routine, feel free to reach out to her at tamara@allyuspa.com. She’d be more than happy to share her personal research and to hear about your experiences.
- We do not financially benefit from sales of any device or app. If you have any resources that you feel would also benefit the community, we would love to hear from you!
Brainwaves are electrical patterns that occur in our brains at all times. These frequencies are naturally adaptable and harmonious, regulating our emotional, mental and physical well-being. However, they can become disharmonious with chronic stress, trauma, substances that artificially alter their rhythms, exposure to environmental toxins, synthetic light patterns, and underlying mental health conditions.
An imbalance can manifest symptoms including mood and sleep disturbance, cognitive decline, decreased immunity, weakened physical health, and attention disorders. Restoring and maintaining the organic balance can greatly improve one’s quality of life.
The brain’s electrical frequencies express together. However, certain frequencies are more apparent during specific states and activities.
- Delta Waves: These are the slowest waves, predominant during deep sleep. They are crucial for physical healing and regeneration.
- Theta Waves: Common during moments of daydreaming or deep relaxation. They play a role in creativity, intuition, and emotional connection.
- Alpha Waves: Present during states of relaxation while we’re still alert. They bridge the conscious and subconscious mind, promoting calmness and alertness.
- Beta Waves: These are dominant when we’re awake, alert, and actively thinking or problem-solving.
- Gamma Waves: The fastest waves, associated with higher processing tasks and cognitive functions.
Most definitely. Both AVE and PEMF have been rigorously studied globally, confirming their efficacy in a range of therapeutic uses. Below are just a few resources.
